So, you’ve found a printable you love but its the wrong size? I’m going to show you how to resize it to any dimension using a free account in Canva.
Canva is an online graphics design platform. It has a free option and a pro. I use pro but that is because I use it on a daily basis and I got a fantastic deal at the time!
I guess I should tell you what it is all about first?
Canva makes it easy to design anything. If you want to make a brochure for example, you put brochure into the search box and up will pop a whole load of free templates. Same goes for business cards, pinterest pins, invites etc. You name it, there is probably a template for it.
If you don’t require a template, then you can just open a blank page. Again, there is a whole load of pre set size options to choose from like A4, US Letter, Pinterest Pin, Posters, Wallpapers and many more! Or simply, enter your own dimentions.
Canva makes it really easy to resize your printables for free. Once you have signed up, click on “Create Design”.
Now lets say you have an 8 x 11.5 printable and you want to print it on to an A4 sheet. First select A4.
It will open a new document. Now, click “Uploads” on the left of the screen, and then “Upload Media”. Locate the image on your device and upload it.
Once it has uploaded, simply click on the image and it will place it on to your empty document. Just alter the size by clicking and dragging one of the corners.
Then just title it and download it!
To save it to your device, click on the top right where it says “Share”, then “Download”. Select the options you require and then “Download”.
Canva (back in the early days of using it) used to pop up a lovely craft related quote after downloading. I miss it.
